Industries / Technology

Engineering for the companies other companies depend on.

SaaS, platform, and infrastructure companies are our most natural customers — we speak the language, we know the metrics, and we've been on both sides of the integration.

What it is

The work, plainly described.

Technology is the industry where our practice fits most naturally. We're engineers building for engineering customers, which means our work is judged by other engineers — and we like it that way. We've built API platforms, developer tools, internal platforms, observability systems, and the back-of-house engineering most SaaS companies pretend they don't need.

Where it fits
  • Series B-D SaaSGrowth-stage companies hitting the limits of "we'll figure it out" engineering — needing real platform investments.
  • Developer toolsCompanies whose customers are engineers. We understand the standards, the docs, and the polish those customers expect.
  • Infrastructure & platformCompanies running infrastructure that other companies depend on — observability, security, data, networking.
  • Vertical SaaSIndustry-specific SaaS where domain depth matters and the stack reaches into legacy systems.
Capabilities

What we'll actually do.

Each of these is a deliverable category, not a buzzword bullet. We scope, build, and stay accountable for each one.

Platform engineering

Internal developer platforms, golden paths, paved roads, and the ergonomics that make engineers ship faster.

API & SDK

Public APIs with versioning, rate limiting, observability, contract testing. SDKs in the languages your customers actually use.

Backend at scale

High-throughput services, event-driven architectures, and the data infrastructure that goes with them.

Product analytics & growth

Mixpanel, Amplitude, custom event tracking. The instrumentation that makes growth experiments meaningful.

Performance & scale

Latency budgets, throughput targets, and the engineering work to defend them.

Security for tech companies

SOC 2, ISO 27001, and the security maturity expected of a B2B SaaS at scale.

Process

How an engagement actually runs.

No mystery, no shifting goalposts. Five phases with measurable outcomes per phase.

Architecture assessment

We map your platform — what works, what's technical debt, what's fine-as-is. Two-week fixed-bid.

Foundation work

Whichever foundation matters most — observability, IaC, CI/CD, security — gets built first.

Iterative delivery

Sprint cadence integrated with your product team. We're engineers in your standup, not external vendors.

Operational handoff

Documentation, runbooks, and shadow shifts before we leave. Or we stay as Managed IT.

Sustained partnership

Many tech-industry clients become long-term partners. We're comfortable being your extended engineering bench for years.

Why us

Three things you should know.

We speak engineering

Our engagements with engineering customers are different. We don't soften technical truths. We don't pretend the architecture choices are easy.

Senior engineers in standup

The engineers on your standup are the senior engineers in our practice. No bait-and-switch staffing.

We use what we recommend

We don't recommend tools we haven't shipped to production. Our recommendations come with battle scars.

Frequently asked

The questions everyone asks.

Do you build SDKs?
Yes. We've built SDKs in TypeScript, Python, Go, Ruby, and Java for public APIs. We treat SDK developer experience as a first-class engineering problem.
Can you integrate into our team's sprint cadence?
Yes. We're comfortable being part of an existing sprint cadence with your PM and engineering manager. We'll adapt to your tooling and ceremonies.
What about observability stacks?
We've built on Datadog, Honeycomb, New Relic, Grafana Cloud, and self-hosted Prometheus. We pick the stack that fits your team and budget.
Do you do API design reviews?
Yes — independent API design reviews are a common engagement type. We critique with rigor and propose specific changes.
Are you good with AI/ML platforms?
Yes — see our AI & Data Solutions practice. We've built ML platform foundations, eval infrastructure, and feature stores for several SaaS clients.
